West Yorkshire Bat Group consists of many people, including several licensed bat workers, interested in finding out more about bats. The group undertakes surveys of both new and existing bat roosts, researching and recording the behaviour, distribution and their habitats in order to further our knowledge of these fascinating and elusive creatures.
Membership currently costs £5 (students and unwaged £2.50) for one year, £12 for three years or Life Membership for £75. Membership entitles you to regular emails (or contacts if you have no email) about events and projects which you can become involved in. As West Yorkshire Bat Group is a partner group with the Bat Conservation Trust, WYBG membership also entitles you to the Bat e-bulletin from BCT with information about events and research.
