Becoming a member of West Yorkshire Bat Group actively supports the work we do to protect and help bats across West Yorkshire. It also provides you as a member with insurance cover to attend the West Yorkshire Bat Group organised events or actively volunteers in one of our wide range of activities.

We have volunteering opportunities such as

• Bat Care
• Bat Box Monitoring
• Organised Bat Walks (as a leader or volunteer)
• Helping with Transects and Surveys
• Habitat Monitoring
• Promoting WYBG at various events
• Delivering talks and educational visits
• Fundraising
• Participating in the committee

We charge a nominal fee for membership to cover insurance costs, currently set at

• £2.50 per year concessions (students or unwaged)
• £5 per year (individuals or families)
• £12 for 3 years membership
• £75 for lifetime membership
